Ready to earn your high school diploma and start the rest of your life? Our free program for adults 21 and over offers flexible morning, evening and hybrid learning options to help you finish high school on a schedule that works for you.Must be at least 21 years of age.

About the Program

  • Free classes to students over 21. (We are not serving students under the age of 21 at this time.)
    • Please see "Information for Students Under the Age of 21" below.
  • Classes operate year round.
    • Morning Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    • Evening Classes are Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • For those with qualifying test scores, we also offer a Hybrid Distance Learning Program. Work at home at your own pace and attend mandatory tutoring just once a week on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 1526 Walden Avenue, Suite 200, Cheektowaga, NY 14225.

Orientation is Required for All Students

Current GED classes end on June 23. Before starting or returning to classes in July, all students must attend Orientation at 1526 Walden Avenue, Suite 200, Cheektowaga, NY 14225. After completing Orientation, you will be enrolled in the day, evening or hybrid class.

What Happens during Orientation?

  • Welcome Orientation (approximately 2 hours)
    • Complete registration paperwork
    • Learn about program expectations and GED testing requirements
  • Testing Orientation (approximately 4 to 5 hours)
    • Take Math and/or Reading assessments

Important Information:

  • Orientations start on time. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
  • Classes resume on July 20 for students who have attended Orientation(s).
  • You may attend Orientation during the daytime or evening for all class offerings.
  • Additional Orientation dates will be available in September.

New Students: 

All new students must attend BOTH the Welcome Orientation and the Testing Orientation before starting classes.

Returning Students: 

All returning students must attend the Welcome Orientation.

  • If you have a post-test after January 2026, you only need to attend the Welcome Orientation.
  • If you have not tested since December 2025 or earlier, you must attend BOTH the Welcome Orientation and the Testing Orientation.
  • If you are unsure whether to attend the Testing Orientation, staff will inform you at the Welcome Orientation.
