Electrical

We offer a comprehensive suite of electrical training programs designed to equip adults with the skills needed for a successful career in the electrical field. These programs cover various aspects of electrical work, including residential and commercial wiring, industrial automation, and basic electrical theory, providing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.

Electrical Programs

Residential/Commercial (200 Hours)

Learn the fundamentals of the electrical trade from seasoned professionals! This program will help you to gain the knowledge needed for a rewarding career as an Electrician. There is a heavy emphasis on the National Electrical Code and Electrical Theory and its implementation in the workplace. Additionally, you’ll learn proper residential and commercial wiring techniques, safe work practices, trade math, blueprint reading, photovoltaics, wind energy and much, much more!

Basic Electricity (36 Hours - Online)

In the online Basic Electrical class, you will become familiar with the theory and principles of electricity, including the concepts of voltage, current, resistance, power, energy calculation, Ohm’s Law and the relationship of these elements. You will also learn about direct current, alternating current and related concepts. Continue to expand your understanding of current and its affect in circuits containing inductors, capacitors, transformers and relays. Emphasis in this course is on theory.

Commercial Wiring (36 Hours)

This 36-hour course deals with commercial applications of electricity found in multi-family dwellings, small stores and businesses. Included in this program are theory and practice in blueprint reading, methods of mounting hardware, transformer connections, motor feeders, and lighting.

Industrial Automation (PLCs) (72 Hours)

Industrial automation is the use of control systems including computers (programmable logic controllers = PLCs) and related information technologies to manufacture products. This course provides in-depth knowledge and skills on the PLC components of industrial manufacturing processes. Practical experience is obtained working with PLC systems in the classroom. Web based lessons and simulations teach theoretical knowledge online.

Industrial Electricity (72 Hours)

This 72-hour course is designed to train electricians and technicians how to work with electric components and systems used in industrial systems. This comprehensive program provides a deep dive into the application of electrical control components, along with the skills to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics. Students will also learn the skills needed to troubleshoot and repair these systems.
