What are the steps to register for the LPN program?

1. Click here to access the registration application for Workforce Development.
   • Complete entire application.
2. Click here to access the registration page for the TEAS test.
   • Select the date you would like to take the test.
   • Create an account and follow the prompts to register for the TEAS test.
   • Pay the required $50 testing fee (Credit or Debit Card Only).
3. Students will get an email approximately one week before their test date with directions on how to create an ATI account and what to bring for test day. For questions, please email Amanda Covert, RN or call (716) 821-7500.
4. Consider a Math Refresher Course before you register for your exam.

What is on the entrance exam?

The TEAS is the Test of Essential Academic Skills. The TEAS test is used for admission purposes to the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. For information on how to purchase a study guide, please visit the ATI website.
*Please note: If any testing misconduct is identified by the ATI Test Security Department, you will be unable to test with Erie 1 BOCES for one year. Following that year, you will required to re-test in-person.

Exam Day Details

• In-person testing is offered on select Fridays at 8:30 a.m. and select Mondays at 5:00 p.m. (some exclusions apply)
• Registration closes on the Wednesday before testing as seats are limited.
• Testing is located at Erie 1 BOCES' Workforce Development North Campus (1526 Walden Avenue, Suite 200, Cheektowaga, NY 14225).
• A valid government-issued photo identification is required. (no pictures of IDs will be accepted)
• You must be on time! Late registrants will not be permitted entry if testing is in progress and you will be required to re-register and re-pay.

How much does the entrance exam cost?

There is a $50 non-refundable testing fee.
Be aware! If you are unable to test on the date you registered for, you will be required to re-register for a new date and pay an additional $50 testing fee. We apologize, but Erie 1 BOCES incurs fees associated with testing and scheduling. We are currently accepting only credit/debit card payments.

When will I get my results? What are the next steps?

You will receive notification of your test results from an Erie 1 BOCES associate via phone or email within 7 to 10 days of testing. You may also access your scores through your ATI account. If successful, your next steps will be discussed in a phone interview.

What happens if I don't pass?

Candidates may test twice within 1 year (365 days). 30 days must have passed between tests. You are required to register and pay the $50 fee for additional testing.
