
Construction Trades
Prepare for a hands-on career in the skilled trades with this comprehensive Construction Trades course. Designed for adult learners, this class provides practical training in core areas of the construction industry, including site work, masonry, carpentry and roofing. Students will gain foundational knowledge and hands-on experience working with industry-standard tools, materials and techniques used in both residential and commercial construction. (200 Hour Program)

Start Your Path in Construction
Through a blend of classroom instruction and supervised lab/shop work, students will be introduced to the technical aspects of construction, including blueprint reading, formwork fabrication, reinforcement placement and the use of laser levels and transits for layout. Trainees will learn to perform essential job tasks such as site grading, concrete form building, joist and truss installation and proper application of underlayment and flashing roofing systems.
The course emphasizes safety, productivity and teamwork, with a strong focus on developing work-ready skills for entry-level employment or apprenticeship in a high-demand industry.

A $300 security deposit is required to reserve your spot in this class.
- Tuition does not include steel toe work boots. These are the responsibility of the student to obtain. The approximate cost is $125 and is subject to change.
Admissions Requirements
- Transcripts. (Proof of a valid high school diploma, GED or college degree from the U.S. is required. HS diplomas with modified curriculum or individualized programs are not accepted.)
- Applicants who do not meet these requirements must complete an entrance exam. Please contact Rashada Jackson to schedule.
- A completed Registration Application.
- A $300 security deposit is required to reserve your spot in this class.
- A personal interview will be conducted.
